About Us
Founded in 2012 by Didik Dwi Setyawan and his Christian cell group which was part of JKI Agape Church (now known as Wesley Agape Indonesian congregation). The group was initially meant for internal communication between the cell group members, however, the group was also opened for public to join in hopes that the more senior Indonesian diaspora could provide insights and assistance to newcomers. Over time, the group became one of the largest Indonesian diaspora communities in the world.
The Rock Indonesian Community works together with other communities such as Indonesian Diaspora Network (IDN), Indonesia Business Council (IBC) Australia, and Indonesian Community Council (ICC) of New South Wales to achieve our visions. While there have been changes on the board members over course of the years, our aim remains unchanging which is to assist Indonesians in Australia to settle.
We also exist in Indonesia as The Rock Indonesia Foundation (Yayasan The Rock Indonesia) serving through Villa Lansia The Rock Indonesia (The Rock Indonesia Aged Care) which is currently housing 20 elders in Singkawang, West Kalimantan, Indonesia, and we look forward to serving more.
